A very exciting theory about "Game of Thrones" was discussed recently at an event. Jack Gleeson, who played the much hated boy-king Joffrey Baratheon, revealed the most befitting end to the show at New York Comic Con this weekend.

In New York Comic Con event attended by Gleeson, the actor shared a very compelling theory about the fate of the Iron Throne, Bustle reported. The publication, who attended the NYCC event, also quoted the actor as saying, "this isn't a spoiler, because I know zero about the show and I literally know nothing about what will happen."

However, the ex-character from popular HBO show also explained at the Comic Con that the theory belonged to one of his fans and not him. Regardless of who it came from, it does perfectly explain two very potent aspects of the show - 1) who will sit on the iron throne and 2) how will the people of Westeros fight the growing army of the white walkers.

Gleeson explained a theory, that he admits was someone else's idea, that someone will melt the iron throne because it is made up of Valyrian steel and will be needed to kill the whytes. He also adds that it is a cool representation of how monarchy is literally dissolved for the good of the realm, MTV reported.

Dissolving the very throne for which Daenerys Targaryen has been fighting all along will be a fitting test to her role as a ruler and not a conquerer. Besides, looming threat of the white walkers will be a good reason for Queen Daenerys to choose her subjects' welfare, and give up the symbolic Iron Throne.

It has been shared in the past that the Iron Throne is made up Valyrian steel swords, forged together by dragon fire, revealing that the throne belonged to Targaryen dynasty, long before it was usurped by Robert Baratheon in a battle.

This theory is convincing not only because of its metaphorical relevance but also because it appropriately deals with the issue of white walkers. Since they can only be killed with dragon glass or Valyrian steel, just few of which have been left in the world, it makes perfect sense to melt the throne.

The end of throne itself depicts a huge social change of dissolving the monarchy. Regardless of who you think will eventually claim the throne, even the most righteous characters such as Jon Snow or Daenerys Stormborn, had to take tough decisions to maintain their position of power. Thus removing the source of power appears to be in the realm's best interest.
