Keanu Reeves may soon reprise his titular role in an upcoming "John Wick" sequel. The movie's director hinted of new ideas for the potential sequel and the movie studio's willingness to explore a new film.

"John Wick Chapter 2" has yet to hit movie theaters but plans for another sequel is currently in the works. Reeves may be tasked to revisit his iconic role for a third installment to said film's movie franchise.

In an interview with Collider, the movie's director Chad Stahelski revealed a request that he received from studio executives to create a new storyline for a potential "John Wick 3." The filmmaker even teased of a few ideas that he may have for the said sequel.

Continental Hotel owner Winston (Ian McShane) will have a critical role to play in the new movie, according to the director. Apart from the hotelier, Stahelski also plans to give Charon (Lance Reddick) a more active role in the potential sequel.

Despite the studio's interest in another sequel, "John Wick 3" continues to be a possibility at this time. Stahelski and studio executives have yet to finalize future plans for the said film franchise.

Apart from the possibility of a sequel, Stahelski also commented on Ruby Rose's acting in "John Wick Chapter 2." The actress was nervous during the movie's initial filming session, the filmmaker recounted. However, she soon became comfortable with her role as the mute yet mysterious Ares.

Meanwhile, one of the elements that made the movie captivating was its unforgettable action sequences. It featured tougher and grittier fight scenes that captured the attention of many fans.

Cast member Common even made mention of the said film's strenuous action sequences during the movie's panel at the New York Comic-Con. Reeves' movie requires a higher level of mastery when it comes to fighting scenes, Cinema Blend quoted the Common as saying. Despite the difficulties in filming the said movie's action scenes, the actor had an enjoyable experience learning the new fighting techniques.

"It's the highest level I've been when it comes to fighting, action, gun-fu ..." Common stated. "And all these new techniques and styles of fighting I just enjoyed."
