It's been over a year since Lee Min Ho and Suzy Bae confirmed their relationship in public. Although they are constantly bombarded with break up rumors, the couple remains strong. Are they ready to take their relationship to the next level and settle down as a married couple?

In an interview, Lee Min Ho opened up about his love life and shared that he has realized what it takes to be a real man now that he's more mature, Sporela reported. Moreover, he professed that a real man should protect the ones he loves.

The 28-year-old actor was also asked why he was happy, to which he responded that one's happiness should also be measured by the happiness of her other half. Her girlfriend, Suzy, was also brought up during the interview. With regard to her, Lee said he wants to marry her so that he can protect her.

In a past interview, Lee spoke fondly about marriage. According to Drama Fever, the actor said that if ever he gets married, he would want a close friendship with his other half and would want for them to communicate often.

It appears that Lee Min Ho is not shy about the prospect of marriage, and considering her stable relationship with singer-actress Suzy Bae, it's no wonder wedding rumors are spiraling out of control.

Another reason why many speculate the couple to get married soon is because Lee is expected to enlist in the military next year. The actor will serve as a public service officer since he cannot serve as an active duty soldier due to his history of physical injuries. In 2006, he was involved in a car accident that resulted in a leg injury. In 2011, he was involved in another car accident while filming "City Hunter."

In the meantime, Lee Min Ho is filming "The Legend of the Blue Sea" with actress Jun Ji Hyun. The fantasy drama series will premiere in November.
