It's  still a good three months to go before the 2017 Royal Rumble, but WWE is already hyping up the pay-per-view event.

For the first time since 1997, the Royal Rumble returns to Alamodome, where it sets the record for the highest gate attendance in history (60.477). It also marks the 30th Royal Rumble since the inaugural event was held in 1987.

According to wrestling pundit Steven Bell of LordsofPain.net, the 2017 Royal Rumble will likely go down as the biggest in the pay-per-view's 30-year history based on the magnitude of promotions WWE has been doing the past few weeks.

Bell went on to say on his podcast show that he won't be surprised if the event will feature surprising appearance from WWE legends or a potential comeback by a former talent.

International sports news publication Sportskeeda recently posted a list of superstars who could possibly make an entry at the Royal Rumble 2017.

From the Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) to Kurt Angle to Sting, Sportskeeda thinks anyone and anything can happen in the upcoming battle royale. There are also speculations that the Undertaker could also step into the fray, triggering the feud for his final appearance at the Showcase of Immortals/

The Comeback Kid & the Rattle Snake:

One thing that should not be ruled out for the Royal Rumble is the return of the Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels. Not only HBK is a native of San Antonio and he also headlined the last Royal Rumble held in the city, beating Sycho Sid for the WWE championship.

Stone Cold Steve Austin is another superstar on a WWE legends contract who could make his presence felt in the show. The Texas Rattlesnake won the first of a record three Royal Rumble victories by last eliminating Bret Hart.
