Chinese actor and model Wang Deshun, 80, is dubbed as the "world's hottest grandpa." He stole the show when he hit the runway for the first time during the Chinese Fashion Week 2015 with long grey hair and toned physique.
It was after baring his amazing torso when his label as the "world's hottest grandpa" started. He graced the local and international news headlines after strutting shirtless down a catwalk during the Chinese Fashion Week in Beijing.
"Many people started noticing me after a catwalk show," Wang said in a video clip. "But do you know what? To prepare for this day, I've been getting ready for 60 years."
The octogenarian who appeared in films "The Forbidden Kingdom" and "Warriors of Heaven and Earth" started hitting the gym at 50 after moving to Beijing and has loved working out ever since. His toned body that is the envy of many young men is a manifestation of good health. He defies China's concerns of an ageing society and the mentality that getting old is an excuse for giving up, according to The Independent.
Wang has become a quasi life coach, giving tips on how to defy age, according to Mirror. He has proven that anyone can explore his or her own potential, even during the golden years. For him, anyone should continue challenging themselves and avoid the thinking that it is too late to fulfill one's dreams.
Wang added that a person is already giving up when he thinks it is too late to achieve success. Only the individual can stop himself from success.
Wang was born in Shenyang, China's northeastern part and was a theatrical actor at 24. He began to learn English at 44 and set up a pantomime troupe when he was 49.
The "world's hottest grandpa" is in social media as well, posting photos on Weibo. He shared in one of his posts that he was filming a martial arts scene but he can only do a pose as he is too old to do the actual fight. The real fighting was done by stunt doubles.
