Niantic has recently released a barrage of API updates which rendered all of the "Pokémon GO" bots and snipers useless because they were still using the old cracked APIs.

Those who have been using "Pokémon GO" bots are left stuck in their levels as they have to choose if they want to open the accounts in their phones. Once they do so, they will not be able to bot it anymore as it will get banned.

More players have resorted in using PoGo bots in order to get ahead of their friends. They would use it to level up until 40 and then finally open the accounts for legit play.

Niantic has already launched a captcha security feature inside "Pokémon GO" to detect bots and other cheats but it proved to be useless, iTech Post has learned. What stopped the bots dead in their tracks is the continued API updates.

Most of the bots used the 0.31 API update and Niantic released 0.39 recently. Now, the game is using the more recent 0.41 API which means hackers will have to reset their cracking efforts in order to successfully develop a bot.

Other "Pokémon GO" cheats such as snipers and trackers have also been taken down since the update. Niantic has also updated the tracking feature inside the game and has stopped Pokémon from spawning when the user is driving which angered most players, BGR reported.

There are some Discord channels where developers of "Pokémon GO" bots and snipers are telling people that they are ready to launch their projects soon. However, this may be postponed again considering that Niantic is planning to launch another update for the AR game.

The new tracking feature is reportedly being tested in San Francisco only. Niantic is vague about the details but they said that the new feature would roll out globally soon after they are done testing it inside the geo-locked location.

"Pokémon GO" bots may soon become available but players should wait for another wave of the update in order to avoid their accounts being banned. Developers seem to be working around the clock to provide the best "Pokémon GO" cheats and tricks to lazy players.
