"The Originals" Season 4 will be back with a 5-year time jump from where the last season left off. As previously reported, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) daughter Hope (Summer Fontana) will be a grown-up child now, who is now able to ask her mom if they are going to save her dad.

Hope grew up to be a powerful vampire, and her strength seems to be the only hope that can save Klaus. "The Originals" Season 4 may see Hope doing everything to save his dad from the Tunde blade that left him in coma for a long period of time.

Aside from her daughter Hope, there is a fan theory that Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola), who had a quick romance with Klaus at the Mystic Falls may be seen in New Orleans in order to rescue him. Caroline's appearance may suggest of the possible crossover of "The Originals" and "TVD" that has been circulating the headlines for some time now.

Another speculation about "The Originals" Season 4 is the possible demise of Klaus. Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) will reportedly cause his death in Season 4, which, according to rumors will signify the finale of the upcoming installment.

As the premiere of Season 4 is fast approaching, other rumors are hitting the headlines, including that the fourth installment will be the show's last. Speculations have become rife when Season 4 was announced to have shorter episodes than the previous seasons.

There are also rumors that "The Originals" Season 4 will be The CW show's last as it will be picked up by ABC. Season 3 drastically fell to only 0.39 viewership for the 18-49 demographic following Cami (Leah Pipes) and Davina's (Danielle Campbell) deaths. Although The CW has not addressed the Season 4 rumors yet, fans are dismayed about the speculations.

"You start to feel a redundancy of heroes," showrunner Julie Plec explained about Cami and Davina's demise to TVLine. "We needed to pull the family as tightly together as possible, and excise some of the characters who might conflict with [that plan]."

There is also a theory that The CW is not forsaking the family vampire show despite its plummeting viewership. Instead of cancelling the show after "The Originals" Season 4, it is saving the show by signing a deal with Netflix. The internet television network will stream the entire seasons of "The Originals," "TVD" and other Netflix TV series just eight days after the show's season's finale, according to Netflix's official press release.

The Originals fourth installment will premiere on The CW in 2017. Watch the official trailer of the upcoming season:
