"God of War 4" has brought fans excited for the game because of its all new take on the franchise. The gameplay is very different from the previous installments and the story made the fans somewhat confused. Kratos is back, alive and well and with a surprise introduction of his son during the reveal in E3. Not many details were released except for the gameplay demo and all we know so far that the story has switched its focus into the Nordic mythology.

The studio of Santa Monica however, is still not sure about the release date for the game. They also said that they won't be releasing a demo because they want to focus on developing the game instead. It would take a month to put the time on making a demo and it would only cause delays for the release date. The expected release date of the game is somewhere in 2017.

"Hard at work on the game, no demo. Game is be better the fewer demos we do. Demos pull a month or two away from final game." "God of War 4" director, Cory Barlog, said, according to Express.

With the new PlayStation Pro on the way for a release, fans are asking the question if they needed to upgrade from their current PlayStation 4's. The good news is that Barlog said that the E3 demo is designed for the standard PlayStation 4 and no upgrade in necessary to play the game.

During the demo at E3, some curious fans wondered what Kratos' son's name is, given the fact that throughout the gameplay, a name was never mentioned. Barlog admits that the reason for this is simply because he hasn't decided anything yet, according to Segment Next.

With the new and fresh idea for the gameplay, this gives the franchise new and exciting opportunities for style and story.

Barlog said: "We've actually moved away from Greece and Kratos has kind of wandered," Barlog continued. "We are parsing it as the time in which the vikings spoke of their gods walking the earth.

"So it's not in the era where the vikings are around, we're predating them by a considerable amount of time."

Originally, the plan for the "God of War 4" was set to be in Egypt, but in the end they decided to go to the Norse mythology.
