As rumors for a potential Apple event for this month strengthen, some are speculating an upgrade to iMac will be included in the much-awaited launching event. Because the Cupertino-based company last updated its desktop computers on Oct. 13, 2015, many are thinking this month is the time for the tech-giant to release an updated version.

According to Mac World, Best Buy leak posted an advance listing of iMacs in the processor sections of their site. It is claimed that although a listing is available, it may be a part of the seller's speculative listing.

Further strengthening speculations, Apple already confirmed an Oct. 27 launching will take place but the tech-giant moved the event to an earlier date. Some speculate this is Apple's way to catch up expected iPhone sales loss in the Q4 of 2016.

To compensate the loss, the company needs to conduct a launching that would render them blockbuster sales. Aside from an upgraded MacBook Pro, analysts are also eyeing a potential iMac 2016 launching.

As for its specifications, the iMac 2016 is rumored to pack a Kaby Lake Processor which is technically a 7th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, Macworld added. Despite this, the report does not close the possibility that the desktop PC may opt to install an AMD processor.

With the Kaby Lake processors installed, the iMac would be able to support Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 and DisplayPort 1.2. The processor uses a 14nm process. It was shipped by Intel starting July 2016.  Aside from the Kaby Lake, the iMac is rumored to boast a 5K Retina display with a 32 GB RAM of chipset and 2 TB storage capacity.

With the possible launching coming to reality, Microsoft is impending to be threatened as they will be holding a similar event one day ahead. On Oct. 26, it is expected the tech-company will be unveiling its Windows 10 update, its Xbox News and a potential competition to Apple's iMac, the Surface Desktop PC, PC Advisor reported.

AS of the moment, Apple has not given any details about a potential iMac launching. For other rumors about the iMac, watch the video below.
