Good news for "Moon Lovers" fanatics as the Drama God seems to grant their wishes. It can be recalled that we've predicted episode 17 will not be airing on Oct. 24 due to a possible baseball match extension; however, this is not the case right now.

"Moon Lovers" episode 17 may highly likely air on time, as it was confirmed by a baseball official that SBS will not be airing the baseball Po Round 3 on Oct. 24. The said baseball match will still air on Oct. 24 but it will be broadcasted through SBS Sports.

The said confirmation was posted via twitter and was translated by twitter user @melloviciousiu.

This move by SBS seems to address rants of "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" fans and to avoid the spiraling ratings of the Lee Joon Gi and Lee Ji Eun starrer drama. Based on the rating results via Wikipedia, "Moon Lovers" episode 15 garnered 8.7 percent ratings nationwide, which was the second highest so far (first was 8.9 percent for episode 2) since the drama aired its first episode.

Since episode 16 was cancelled and move the airing on Oct. 18, the ratings went down to 5.8 percent. If SBS had not cancelled episode 16 and just pushed through with the broadcast on Oct. 17 (even with a 5 minutes delay), the nationwide ratings should have increased (even if a bit increase would do) as the episodes are getting more and more interesting.

Kudos though to SBS as they seemed to learn from their mistake, so they will now push through with the scheduled airing of "Moon Lovers" episode 17 on Oct. 24. If the broadcasting network has aired the baseball match on its sports channel on the first place, "Moon Lovers" ratings should have not been greatly affected and Joon Gi would have not felt that he didn't do well enough for the drama.

Meanwhile, since episode 17 will be airing on time, a back to back episode (episode 19 and episode 20) on Nov. 1 will not materialize.

Furthermore, as we've said earlier, SBS announced that the series will end on Nov. 1, and if "Moon Lovers" episode 16 has not been cancelled, an extra episode should be airing on the said date. There may still be a chance that a special episode will be aired, and it will be most likely move to Nov. 2, Wednesday. This will likely materialize as SBS also aired a special episode on a Wednesday (Sept. 14).

Hope SBS can give us a pretty satisfaction ending - be it a SAD ENDING (HS died, goes back to 21st century, meeting Wang So's doppelganger in a historical museum or star observatory whithour any trace of Goryeo's memory) or a HAPPY ENDING (HS died goes back to modern era, Wang So died during an eclipse and his soul was transported to 21st century with memories of Hae Soo - both met and they live happy ever after! THE END).

Let's just wait on "Moon Lovers" episode 17 to see how Wang So becomes King Gwangjong.
