Reeling squad Bologna FC (3-3-2, 11 points) will look to snap a three-game winless skid in the 2016-2017 Serie A season as they host mercurial team US Sassuolo Calcio (4-4-0, 12 points) at their home field of Renato Dall'Ara Stadium on Oct. 23, Sunday.

Bologna has been winless in their previous three matches and also in four of their last five assignments to fall to the 12th spot of the current league table.

The team is coming off a sorry 1-1 draw with capital city team Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico last Sunday, as per ESPN.

I Rossoblu should have won the game after Swedish defender Filip Helander netted the opening goal in the 10th minute of the match, but the team conceded a penalty kick seven minutes into injury time in the second half to give I Biancocelesti a chance to tie.

Lazio took full advantage of the opportunity as Italian striker Ciro Immobile buried the kick to force the draw and a share of a point in the overall standings. The penalty was yielded by Greek defender Marios Oikonomou after he fouled Brazilian defender Wallace inside the penalty area.

Meanwhile, Sassuolo continued their trend of alternating winning and losing this season with a close 2-1 victory over bottom-dwellers Crotone at their home ground of Mapei Stadium also last Sunday, via Sporting Life.

The newly-promoted side opened the scoring right in the second minute of the contest with a right-footed shot from forward Diego Falcinelli off an assist by Aleandro Rosi. Falcinelli is a Sassuolo player on loan to Crotone for the season.

It looked like a lost game for I Neroverdi as time slowly ran out in the second half and the visitors were able to continue to keep their one-point advantage.

However, substitutes Stefano Sensi and Pietro Iemmello scored one goal each in the 83rd and 86th minutes to pull off the come-from-behind victory for head coach Eusebio Di Francesco's side.
