After a long break, "Jane the Virgin" returned on Oct. 17, Monday, with a thrilling episode that attracted the show's largest audience of 1.2 million viewers since its premiere in 2014.

Season 2 of the telenova series ended with a cliffhanger, where Michael was shot by his 'colleague' Sussana on his wedding night. The show left fans anticipating more as they wondered whether he would die or survive the gunshot.

Judging from the first episode's ratings, "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 was well received by fans. The Season premiere was a relief to fans who learnt that Michael survived the gunshot, The Seattle Times reported.

In Season 2, Anezka is expected to try and find some dirt that could discredit Rafael. While digging, she will also stumble on an adventure of her own as she gets in a surprising romantic situation, according to Blasting News.

Meanwhile, Jane and Rafael will be involved into some parenting drama. This will follow Rafael's confession that he was over Jane. The two would be torn apart on the kind of pre-school Mateo should attend.

Xiomara will also have tons of drama in her life as she is expected to become a mother again. She will be paranoid about her secret, and suspect that Alba knows everything including the direction their relationship will take.

In addition, Xiomara will reportedly get a breakthrough at her singing career as she lands an interview at 'the Voice'. She will, however, make huge decisions concerning her pregnancy as she suspects Rogelio is the father.

Rogelio, on the other hand, will try venturing into American television jobs in order to expand his career. This is because his rival will also be attempting the same transition.

Apparently, as the Season continues, Jane will lose her virginity. The events in which this will happen will supposedly be heartfelt and under significantly funny circumstances.

"Jane the Virgin" Season 3, episode 2 was written by Paul Sciarrota and David S. Rosenthal. It was directed by Brad Silbering. Episode 2 will air on CW on Oct. 24 at 8pm central time. Watch episode 2's promo below:
