Marvel has just released the trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2" and things are looking pretty great for what it showed.

The whole team is back and with some additional members who may be joining them. The iconic song of the film, "Hooked on a Feeling" by the Blue Swede is playing in the trailer. Director, James Gunn, gave us a teaser than we all look forward to.

The teaser, however, didn't show enough to know about the details of the plot, but according to the official synopsis on the film, the story will be about the gang travelling around the cosmos to find the mystery behind the true parentage of Peter Quill, a.k.a Starlord. Also, Kurt Russel is cast as Ego, who is going to be Peter Quill's father. Gunn drops a big surprise during the San Diego Comic-Con when he announced that Ego is actually a sentient planet, the Wrap reported.

The clip shows Gamora jumping with her deadly blades and Nebula, her half-sister, is also seen in the teaser. Yondu is together with Rocket Racoon, walking on a platform while people around them are falling. A little later, we see Drax advising Quill that he needs to find a woman who is as pathetic as him. The humor that we all love from the first film seems to be retained in the sequel and hopefully it will not disappoint and even surpass the first one. Baby Groot is also here and he looks incredibly adorable.

Fans are wondering when they will actually see the full trailer for the film. It is expected that there will be one attached to Marvel's upcoming film, "Doctor Strange," according to the Independent.

While the first film was a surprising success for Marvel, fans around the world grew to love the characters and the film for its witty humor and fun theme. It's no question what their role will be in the upcoming epic story of the "Avengers: Infinity War." This will be the last "GotG" film before the "Avengers," so will we see some tie ups with the other Marvel films by the end of the movie?
