Fans of "Stitches" singer Shawn Mendes, 18, were surprised when he showed his six packs in an Italian men's magazine. Recently, he flaunted again his sexy body in another magazine.

Mendes is gracing the cover of Hero magazine and is in its special 32-page feature inside. His shots for the magazine are not focused on fashion as the photographer followed the singer on his summer tour and documented him off the stage. Some of this black-and-white photos show him sleeping on the tour bus, relaxing in bed and brushing his teeth.

"I'm scared of over-using my voice to be honest with you," Mendes told the magazine. "I don't write in a low voice and quietly, when I write I'm singing full volume as hard as I can, as good as I can, because how am I supposed to know if it sounds good if I don't?"

The cover story focuses on Mendes's "Treat You Better" tour. The singer, who is on a grueling schedule which will end in early November, noted that he should take care of his voice, especially when he is writing songs on the road.

The young Canadian artist cited a night in Nashville as his most memorable moment of a tour. The night before he turned 18, he felt good and played his single "Ruin" and his parents were there. Suddenly, many people were in front of him and he got that heart-warming feeling.

In September, Mendes's new album "Illuminate" debuted on the United States Billboard 200 at No. 1. He is set for another massive arena tour for 2017.

The "Treat You Better" artist is also hailed as one of the 30 Most Influential Teens 2016 of the Time magazine. The list considered accolades across various fields, global impact via social media as well as the overall ability to drive new.

"The challenges keep changing, adapting to the workload, the fame, the pressure," Mendes told the publication. "You gotta keep yourself grounded."

As a role model to his fans, Mendes loves to share positive thoughts on social media. He shared that while making adjustments to the dramatic changes in his life, he tries to keep himself grounded.

Aside from Mendes, the list of most influential teens 2016 also includes actor Jaden Smith, actress Chloe Grace Moretz, dancer Maddie Ziegler and first daughters Sasha Obama and Malia Obama. "Stranger Things" star Gaten Matarazzo and "Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams are also in the list.
