Fans cited Tarantino’s action filmmaking skills in the "Kill Bill" franchise as well as the writer/director’s affinity for razor-sharp dialog, the petition offers an “almost guaranteed” opportunity for "Deadpool 2" to make a billion dollars should he join the upcoming sequel, Heroic Hollywood reported.

Reynold's stated in 2009 that his dream is to have Tarantino direct the first "Deadpool" film, although Tarantino commented that he was not interested in doing a film based on existing comic book or character.
