After a recent shutdown caused by Niantic's extra security feature against third-party scanners and maps, Pokemon GO map tracker FastPokeMap is expected to return to its operations, although there is still an impending advisory against cheating on the game.

Pokemon GO is an augmented reality app that would hugely benefit from a mapping system to be able to find and capture Pokemon creatures. So when the going get rough with Niantic turning the third-party maps and scanners down on its latest update, some of the creators to these map trackers will still find a way to come back to life while Pokemon GO's in its glory.

Now, FastPokeMap has brought back its database into its previous function after the person behind "Pokémon GO's" third-party map tracker has unleashed a series of tweets, confirming that reverse-engineering API was successful, and announcing that the application will come back to life soon, UH has learned.

The anonymous creator, under Twitter handle @FastPokeMapCom, from South Africa, used the social media channel to share the said news. More than that, the creator decided to provide Niantic with some unwarranted criticism about the changes that the company is making to the mobile game. It follows with a threatening conclusion with the ending of the game's popularity if third-party scanners, like FastPokeMap, will continue to be disabled.

In relation to that, this move was said to provoke Pokemon GO players into slowly getting disappointed with the game since FastPokeMap has been useful in improving gaming experience. Heavy cited several Pokemon GO players who threatened to boycott the game, should a map tracker no longer be found.

On Reddit, MVP_Mike_Trout wrote: "Without FastPokeMap I wouldn't have been playing this game as long as I have. I guess I'm done then, i am not going to mindlessly walk around looking for Pokemon that are on my sightings. Get serious. This company is just terrible imo."

According to reports, the recent "Pokémon GO" security update today asks users to reCAPTCHA. After entering the CAPTCHA, anyone possessing illegally downloaded apps will be abandoned and shut out of the game.

Some Pokémon GO players, who are reportedly using third-party scanning apps and cheats to catch Pokémon, are being warned by Niantic about the possibility of bans through direct notification upon entering the game.

On the other hand, other players believed that third party apps are used for cheating, and that Niantic was right in shutting down their access. Some of the third-party scanners disabled by the Pokemon GO creators in the past are Quickmap, PokeAlert, OpenPokeMap, PokeEye, ScanGo, and FastPokeMap.
