Nearly ten days after Nintendo officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch, there are still a lot of unanswered questions. However, it appears that one of hybrid video game console's key features might have been confirmed.
Last week's trailer gave users an idea of the console's core mechanics and design but the Switch's key specs were left out of the promo. However, it is now being reported that the Nintendo Switch will feature a 6.2-inch display, according to Eurogamer.
To put things into perspective, a 6.2-inch screen is slightly larger than the Huawei Mate 8 (6-inch screen) but not as big as the iPad Mini 4 (7.9-inch). The display is rumored to have a resolution of 720p, however that could change once the console is connected to the TV.
Moreover, there is speculation that the Nintendo Switch screen will come with multi-touch support, a doubt many users had after watching last week's trailer. Nintendo has previously introduced touch screen aspects in its its 3DS and Wii U consoles.
However, both consoles were equipped with resistive touchscreens and could only pick up one pressure point at a time. The Nintendo Switch will reportedly come with a 10-point multi-touch display, generally used in smartphones, CNET reported.
Rumors are also rife that the Joy-Con R, which is the controller that fits into the right-hand side of the Switch in portable mode, will come equipped with an infra-red sensor that can be used instead of one's finger when the console is in its dock and connected to the TV.
Nintendo announced that it will be holding a Nintendo Switch press conference on Jan. 13 to reveal further details about the console and clear up the rumors. The company is also expected to announce an official release date at the event.
