During his glory days, Michael Schumacher was welcoming to the public, both praises and criticism alike. And it somehow exemplifies his polite and gregarious character. A testament to this perhaps would be the last text message that Michael sent to the owner of the fabled Montana restaurant near Ferrari's Maranello headquarters, Mamma Rosella.

It has been reported that the restaurant owner and Michael built a close friendship during Schumacher's healthy days. It is in Mamma Rosella's restaurant that Schumi would like to dine and eat his favorite dish - tagliatelle al ragu. According to Wheels24, Michael was still able to send a message saying "I love you" to Mamma Rosella two days before his accident.

There have been many rumors and speculations surrounding the condition and recovery of Michael Schumacher over the past months. And these reports both official and speculated ones led to various reactions from the family and fans alike. Thus, it would be best to revisit and make a recap of some of the notable reports attributed to his skiing accident last 2013.

Some were elated with the constant updates posted online despite not having verified sources. During the first few months after Michael Schumacher's head injury, some reports claimed that the F1 racer is on the road to recovery and would likely be back on the race circuit. However, to the disappointment of fans and family members, such report was incorrect and lacking of medical basis and confirmation.

Now this is not the first time the Michael Schumacher and his health condition was dragged to public limelight. For it can be remembered that some reports even used Schumacher's health condition as part of an April Fool's joke. And for that matter, irresponsible reports elicited disappointment and some even of legal actions coming from Schumacher's family.

Another notorious report that recently surfaced online was the recent claim of significant recovery and restoration of mobility by a magazine. Bunte, a German magazine, published a report claiming that the seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher could walk few steps after coming out from the coma.

But such claim was immediately debunked by the lawyer representing Schumacher, according to the Telegraph. "He cannot walk," Felix Damm, an attorney representing Schumacher, told a court hearing in Hamburg.

The proliferation of unverified and malicious reports are being questioned by the family and even legal counsel of the Schumachers. And this, of course, led to a great feeling of unhappiness, especially that of Michael Schumacher's wife, Corinna. And for such matter, Schumacher's recovery and condition are highly guarded to protect him and his family from the public's prying eyes.
