If specifications are compared, the HTC 10 and the Pixel XL have a few things in common. Both phones use QHD display but the former uses the older Gorilla Glass 3, while the latter currently has the newer Gorilla Glass 4, Android Headlines reported.

In terms of processor, both phones use 64-bit Snapdragon processor with the HTC 10 packed with the 820 while the Pixel XL installed with an 821. The Adreno 530 is a common denominator for the two devices when it comes to graphics, the report added.

The devices are very similar to each other that they both possess almost the same number of megapixels for its rear camera, and its computing power worth 4 GB RAM. Aside from these, their battery capacities are also very similar, 3,500 mAh for HTC 10 and 3,450 mAh for Pixel XL.

Despite being comparable, one has triumphed over the other. If one looks closely at each of the devices, it can be noticed that HTC has greatly improved its camera, a feature which they failed to get right for the past years.

On the other hand, Pixel XL scored the highest rating ever received for a smartphone's camera. Its 821 processor is also 10 percent faster than its predecessor, which the HTC 10 possesses.

In terms of weakness, the HTC sacrificed its infamous BoomSound to compensate the transfer of its fingerprint scanner from the rear to the front. This has affected the sound quality of its speakers, and users will only experience the superb sound quality via headphones.

For this comparison, HTC 10 beats Google Pixel XL for the sole reason that the latter is way more expensive than the former. With almost the same specifications, the HTC 10 can be purchased for as low as $650, while consumers need to shell out $770 to take home a Pixel XL.

Meanwhile, Recombu also did a comparison of the HTC 10 with Pixel XL's smaller version, the Google Pixel. In its review, the publication is also in favor of HTC 10 due to the significant price difference with the latter.
