Rumors indicate that the OnePlus 3T, powered by Snapdragon 821 chip with 6GB RAM, will start rolling out January 2017. But the latest chatter from China suggests that it's prudent to wait for the OnePlus 4 release date instead that likely will happen June next year with the monster chip Snapdragon 830 running the show of the upcoming flagship killer.

Recent reports have stated that due to Optic AMOLED display shortage, the OnePlus 4 debut will be pushed back a little farther into 2017 and serving as stop-gap is the SD 821-powered OnePlus 3, rumored to come with $80 premium from the OnePlus 2. But a new post from microblogging site Weibo, picked up by Phone Arena, claimed that the OP4 might just appear as early as June 2017 or just mere months following the rumored OP3T market debut in January.

True or not, the next-generation flagship killer from OnePlus CEO Carl Pei is supposedly a beast with SD 830 that according to Phone Arena will be manufactured by Samsung (for Qualcomm) using 10nanometer process. The next and greatest processing chip from Qualcomm promises that the OnePlus 4 when realized will be a premium monster phone with extended battery mileage.

In the same report, Phone Arena hinted that SD 830 will clock at top speed of 3.0GHz and GPU on-board is Adreno 620. There was no mention on screen resolution but the likelihood is the rumored 2K display for the OnePlus 3T will be seen too with the OP4. Or the handset will get a more immersive 4K display rendering.

And everything will fire up thanks to a massive 4000mAh battery.

Taking on the same Weibo post, WCCFTech speculated that the chance is high that the OnePlus 4 will rock up to 8GB of RAM if only to improve from the last version. And it will not be too remote for the OP4 to sport a main shooter with a 23-megapixel rear sensor.

"The numbers '23' would clamor that the smartphone would be rocking an impressive camera, but the game isn't about megapixels any more, but more to do with sensor quality and tidbits ranging from hardware level stabilization and manual camera controls that really take smartphone photography to the next level," the report said.

As expected, the OnePlus 4 on release date will showcase the latest Oxygen OS that will sit on top of Android 7.1 Nougat.
