Torino is reeling with two draws and a loss in their last three matches after going on a three-game winning run. The team is now at the eighth spot of the Italian top flight table, four points below the final Europa League qualifying berth for next season temporarily held by powerhouse squad Napoli.

Il Toro was held to a 2-2 draw by lowly club Udinese on the road at the Dacia Arena on Monday for their third consecutive winless performance, as per SkySports.

Italian midfielder Marco Benassi scored the only goal in the first half in the 15th minute with a right-footer from the center of the box off an assist from teammate Andrea Belotti. It gave the visitors a 1-0 lead at the break.

However, Udinese netted the next two goals with strikes from forwards Cyril Thereau and Duvan Zapata in the 60th and 70th minutes to take back the lead at 2-1.

Head coach Siniša Mihajlović's squad was then able to salvage the draw with a 77th-minute goal by Serbian winger Adem Ljajic.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted squad Cagliari snapped a two-game losing slide as they beat bottom three team Palermo, 2-1, at their home field of Sant'Elia Stadium also on Monday, ESPN reported.

After a goalless first half of play, Cagliari midfielder Daniele Dessena netted two goals in the 53rd and 64th minutes to give head coach Massimo Rastelli's side a two-point advantage. The assists came from Davide Di Gennaro and Marco Sau respectively.

Palermo was able to trim the lead to one point with a goal from Macedonian forward Ilija Nestorovski in the 79th, but it was the closest the Rosanero could get as time ran out in the match.

Cagliari is currently at the ninth place in the overall standings, tied on points with Torino.
