Miley Cyrus is not just doing coaching jobs on "The Voice" with fellow judges Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys but is also taking the chance to support charity works. She recently treated homeless teenagers to a special day on the set of the show while supporting a charitable campaign among fans of NBC's singing competition.

Cyrus brought teens from My Friend's Place, a center in Los Angeles that assists homeless teens. The group toured backstage in Happy Hippie shirts, excitedly tried sitting in the judges' seats and watched the show's taping.

"To be able to have the spotlight on people that don't usually have the spotlight on them is why I'm here," Cyrus said in a video shared with PEOPLE. "And why it's really important for y'all to be here and to just see who's on that stage."

"The Voice" Season 11 coach sat down with the group and discussed the issues they face as homeless teens. She said she heard stories from the show that may not be far from those the youths have experienced.

The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker launched Happy Hippie Foundation after a visit to My Friend's Place in 2014, and admitted it gives her life a purpose. The organization tries to stop the injustices to LGBTQ teens. It is intended to encourage everyone to be themselves, pouring happiness, goodness and love into people.

Cyrus had previously put the spotlight on her advocacy work and raised awareness for homeless teens. In 2014, she asked a homeless guy from Los Angeles Jesse Helt to accept the MTV VMA "Video of the Year" award for "Wrecking Ball" on her behalf.

The singer-songwriter also had fun with co-coach Keys photobombing "The Voice" fans. People visiting the show is part of a charity campaign by Omaze which allows them to donate at least $10 to support charitable groups and get the chance to win access at the show's taping.

Donations go to causes close to Cyrus and Keys, Happy Hippie Foundation and We Are Here Movement. The contest can be won by a fan who can bring a guest with him or her to attend the show, according to RollingStone.
