Venezuela lost to Bolivia, 2-4, during their first meeting in the tournament in matchday 3 held at the Bolivian home field of Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz. Los Criollos will not only gun for their first victory in the competitions but will also aim to get a payback against La Verde, whose win over Venezuela was the team's only win in the qualifiers so far.

Head coach Rafael Dudamel's team was blanked by tournament leaders Brazil, 0-2, at their own home ground of Estadio Metropolitano de Mérida in Mérida in the previous matchday on Oct. 11, ESPN reported.

Manchester City target Gabriel Jesus netted the opening goal early in the eighth minute to give the visitors a 1-0 advantage at the break. Chelsea winger Willian doubled Brazil's lead in the 53rd to seal the game, handing the cellar-dwellers their eighth loss in the qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Bolivia is currently in the ninth place of the CONMEBOL table, only two points above Venezuela. The team is on a seven-game winless slide.

Their last game resulted in a 2-2 draw with Ecuador also at their home field of Estadio Hernando Siles on Oct. 11, as per Fox News Latino.

Second striker Pablo Daniel Escobar scored a brace in the fourth and 43rd minute to give head coach Guillermo Angel Hoyos' side a 2-0 advantage at the break.

However, Los Altiplanicos were unable to hold on to the lead as Ecuador striker Enner Valencia equalized the contest with his own brace, in the 48th and 89th minutes, to force the tie and deny Bolivia their second win in the tourney.
