Since Niantic released "Pokemon Go" in several countries, the augmented reality mobile phone game has become an old entertainment for majority of places all over the world. But not for other countries like India, China and South Korea where the game has not yet been launched. As of the moment, the release date of "Pokemon Go" to these countries are still undecided due to several reasons.

Meanwhile, countries who received the game earlier can enjoy another update brought by Niantic. The latest update involves the reduction of Pidgey, Rattata and Zubat, Pokemons which were reported to be excessive in abundance on most locations.

In the official Twitter account of "Pokemon Go," it announced that other Pokemon can be discovered in locations where the said Pokemons were previously in abundance, IBT India reported.

"Professor Willow has discovered that you may encounter other Pokémon where Pidgey, Rattata, and Zubat were previously more commonly found."

Despite the uncertainty of launching in China and South Korea, Pokemon Co. President and CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara expressed their plans on rolling out "Pokemon Go" in these countries, Wall Street Journal reported. Ishihara and the company also recognizes that the large gamer population are in these locations.

However, what is hindering them from releasing "Pokemon Go" are issues experienced with the way Google Maps works in both countries. These need to be settled first before they can launch the AR game.

Ishihara also mentioned they are planning to add features like trading and player-versus-player battles but these would arrive slowly as they need to keep the game's fundamental be accessible to newcomers.

The Pokemon game franchise first became available in Game Boy as an RPG game. An enhanced version was released after it was proven to be popular and was eventually released in the United States.

As of this moment, the game is entering its 7th generation as "Pokemon Sun and Moon" for the Nintendo 3DS will be launched as part of the franchise's 20th anniversary celebration. It will also be available in the upcoming console of Nintendo, the Nintendo NX.
