A spinoff series of "The Big Bang Theory" is happening and it could include one of their biggest stars in the show. Sheldon, who has a rather large fanbase, could be starring in the said spinoff.

CBS is currently in talks of developing an offshoot project of the hit sitcom starring Jim Parsons. The project, which will be filmed on a single-camera format, will be a prequel series focusing heavily on a young Sheldon Cooper at age 12. No additional details about the plot were released, but the report claims that the spinoff will be called "Sheldon," according to Deadline,

"The Big Bang Theory" creator and showrunner Chuck Lore is attached to executive produce Sheldon, alongside co-executive producer Steve Molaro and Parsons. No word yet on casting and beginning of production. The premiere date is expected to be announced on a later date.

In other developments, "The Big Bang Theory" actress Kaley Cuoco has shared a raunchy behind-the-scenes photo of Penny and Leonard on Instagram last week. The photo sees the onscreen couple dressed in sexually explicit outfits complete with bondage, fishnet stockings and a corset. The scandalous photo was for the show's latest outing (aired Nov. 3) where Sheldon was shocked to see his friends, Penny & Leonard, dressed in S&M costumes in his nightmare.

"#bts of last nights @thebigbangtheory," the actress wrote.
