Taylor Swift recently channeled her sexy and wild side in a short black top that she matched with an animal print coat. Katy Perry was also spotted wearing a similar fashion ensemble but with an edgier look.

The two Hollywood musicians were recently seen in New York City wearing leopard print tops to ward off the evening chill. With an A.L.C. long-sleeved coat, the "Bad Blood" singer was photographed on the streets of the Big Apple on Nov. 7, Monday, in a feline-inspired look.

Priced at $2,195, the said leopard print top featured wide collars and front slit pockets, according to People. Swift partnered the coat with a short black skirt and a Dolce & Gabbana top that had an image of a cat wearing a crown on the front. Named the Corona Cat blouse, the short-sleeved shirt retails for $1,310 and has a bow on collar.

To complete the look, the "Wildest Dreams" crooner donned open-toed Schutz platform heels and an Etienne Aigner black handbag that retails for $200 and $345, respectively. Swift also kept her hair down and wore minimal make-up except for a bright red lipstick.

Swift, along with her brother, were on their way to attend Lorde's birthday party held on Monday at Carbone, one of New York City's hotspot restaurants. Organized by the multi-awarded singer herself, the Australian musician's birthday bash was attended by famous celebrities such as Lena Dunham, Karlie Kloss and more.

In other news, Perry was also photographed wearing a similar top as she left the Ed Sullivan Theater after her "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" guest appearance on the same Monday evening. The leopard print resembled a cape with a front clasp located near the coat's neckline.

With a longer hemline, the statement coat hid Perry's all-black ensemble that featured a turtleneck top and tight leather pants, according to Entertainment Tonight. The "Rise" crooner completed her edgy look with a pair of black knee-high leather boots, a dark red lip tint and a classic brush-up hairstyle.

Aside from Perry and Swift, several stars have also been seen wearing animal print tops in New York City such as Cate Blanchett and more. Meanwhile, watch Perry's music video for the track "Rise" below:
