“The Sims” franchise has been known to offer alternatives to make the life-simulation game easier, something is done through the aid of cheat codes. “The Sims 4: City Living” does offer big challenges ahead though gamers could have an easier time with the aid of codes for input at the called cheat console.
Similar to previous “The Sims” installments, players will have to call on the cheat console by simultaneously pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C on the PC or CMD+SHIFT+C on Macs. A cheat prompt should appear at the upper left corner where the working cheats detailed by The Sims Community can be keyed in.
There are a lot of cheats to use, each catering to a certain aspect of “The Sims 4: City Living”. Most notable is the boost some would need in money (“Simoleons”), a dire need in households. There are a couple of useful ways to rack in the Simoleons such as ‘kaching / rosebud’ which returns 1,000 Simoleons to the household or ‘motherlode’ which returns a larger 50,000 Simoleons.
There are also codes available for the ones who need a push in their career path on “The Sims 4: City Living”. When it comes to careers, skill is important and everyone knows that working on that may take a lot of time. For those who cannot wait, you can key in ‘Stats.set_skill_level [skilltype] [level]’ to get ahead.
Depending on a player’s choice, “The Sims 4” players can move forward and tinker with the career proper. That includes promotions (‘Careers.promote ’) and additional careers (‘Careers.add_career ’).
There are plenty of other cheats to mention for “The Sims 4: City Living” though most are tied up to objects, resetting characters, and other added effects. It should be best to note that these are not the official cheats coming from EA though such may hardly matter to gamers who want to advance the easy way.
While these codes do make life easier, not all may be open to cheating their way into the game. Some have opted to play it the usual way and work their way through challenges as bared by some “The Sims 4” players over at Reddit.
