Bethesda and Arkane are finally releasing the highly-anticipated "Dishonored 2" title but many are wondering whether the PC port will actually get to run as smooth as its console counterparts.

First and foremost, PC users should be well aware of the minimum and recommended settings for "Dishonored 2." The first installment of the franchise did not need a powerful rig to run because it was using the Unreal Engine 3 but "Dishonored 2" uses the new Void bespoke game engine from Arkane.

Recommended:

  •  Intel Core i7-4770/AMD FX-8350 or better
  •  16 GB RAM

Early reviews have shown the video settings for "Dishonored 2." The game offers players to run between 65 to 110 degrees for the FOV and it also supports HBAO+ for better overall rendering quality, PC Gamer has learned.

Anti-aliasing settings also support up to TXAA for NVIDIA video cards. "Dishonored 2" also has toggles for god rays, shadows, volumetric lighting, lens flare, bloom and depth of field.

The preset qualities for "Dishonored 2" range from very low to ultra which show the best of the game has to offer, PC GamesN reported. Unfortunately, the game seems to be poorly optimized considering that the 4K gameplay only reaches up to 60 frames per second on quiet settings and it drops down to 30 fps during heavy fights on a GTX 1080.

Downscaling the resolution to 1080p makesthings smoother and more playable. Gamers can reach 110 frames per second on Ultra and the 75 frames per second for the combat scenes still make for a smooth overall gameplay experience.

Arkane could still send out patches after the game comes out. "Dishonored 2" is available across the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC.
