UPDATE: Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman and Kenny McCormick are set to come back on "South Park" season 19 premiere on Sept. 16.
"South Park" season 18 ended in December 2014 with a two-part finale, episode 9 "REHASH" and episode 10 "#HappyHolograms," and the fans are eager to see the Comedy Central series back for season 19.
While the "South Park" season 19 release date is yet to be confirmed, the animation comedy is rumored to have two seasons more after season 18. The IMdB profile of the show and the South Park Studios site, which offers free clips of the show's 18 episodes, both show that it has upcoming season 19 and season 20.
Since making its debut in 1997, "South Park" has become a hit adult animated series known for its black humor and sarcastic depiction of the American culture's drawbacks, international events and several taboos.
Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, "South Park" features a story that revolves around the fictional town of South Park and American elementary school pupils Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman and Kenny McCormick. Parker voices Stan and Kyle while Stone voices Eric and Kenny.
In 2014, Parker won the Best Performance category at The Game Awards for his work in the RPG game "South Park: The Stick Of Truth," beating Oscar winner Kevin Spacey, who played Jonathan Irons in "Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare."
Parker also beat Melissa Hutchison of "The Walking Dead," Adam Harrington of "The Wolf Among Us" and Troy Baker of "Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor."
"South Park" season 19 will pick up from season 18's lampooning of Eric Garner's death, Michael Brown's shooting and Bill Cosby's sexual assault controversy, among others.
Meanwhile, a revamped version of "Trey Parker's Cannibal! The Musical!" is set to premiere through March 8 at Toronto's Panasonic Theatre, Times Colonist reported.
