After months of speculation and conjecture, Rockstar Games finally confirmed the arrival of the highly anticipated "Red Dead Redemption 2," a follow up to the 2010 open world western action-adventure video game "Red Dead Redemption." Shortly after announcing the title, Rockstar also dropped the first trailer for the upcoming video game.

The 68-second trailer treated fans to some of the breathtaking visuals and environments that the game will feature including several shots of nature and wildlife. The first main sign of civilization in the trailer comes in the form of a scene featuring "Worths General Store" as a horse-carriage passes by.

The town appears to be far less developed than the towns of Blackwater or Armadillo from "Red Dead Redemption," as pointed out by The Telegraph. This suggests that "Red Dead Redemption 2" could be a prequel.

What follows next is a shot of a solo character investigating what appears to be a burning farm with a voice in the background saying, "Listen to me, when the time comes, you gotta run and don't look back. This is over." The trailer concludes with seven armed men on horseback charging down a hill as the screen fades to black.

Rockstar has already confirmed that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be out in the fall of 2017 and will be available only for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. However, there are reports claiming that a PC version of the video game title is also in development.

Although it seems like a long wait until fall next year, fans can keep themselves busy with a remastered version of "Red Dead Redemption." The upgraded edition is expected to feature enhanced next-gen graphics and will be released soon across the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms, GamingBolt reported.
