"Rainbow Six Siege" gamers will soon have a new area to explore given the upcoming release of the "Operation Red Crow" DLC. Recently, Ubisoft unveiled several interesting details about a new operator called Echo.

"Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Red Crow" is set to introduce a Japanese map including a new mission to infiltrate a Yakuza-filled mansion perched on top of a skyscraper. Players will also meet two new Special Assault Team (S.A.T.) members, one of which is the game character Masaru Enatsu, also known as Echo.

Described as Team Rainbow's designated defender, Echo possesses various skills and battle toys that will help the team complete a mission. A blog posted on Ubisoft's official website revealed Echo's special quadrotor drone that features a compact body with several nondescript blades to keep it afloat.

Given the said equipment's small body and mini-blades, it is still unsure if the drone will be able to reach a high altitude similar to regular drones. However, the unit's slim design will make it a perfect reconnaissance device during stealth missions.

Apart from the drone, the new Japan S.A.T. operator is an expert in Close Quarter Battles. With primary firearms that include the MP5SD4 and SuperNova, as well as the PM9 and P229, Echo's weapons are ideal ammunition choices for rapid attacks.

Meanwhile, Echo is set to change the tactical methods that avid "Rainbow Six Siege" players have used in the game. A press statement posted on the game's official website unveiled interesting insights from the development team.

It appears that game developers experimented in crafting Echo's military peripherals for the "Operation Red Crow" DLC, according to the game's scriptwriter Farah Daoud-Brixi. With a classic military design mixed with contemporary features, the operator's battle gears also paid homage to Japan's various technological enhancements.

"Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Red Crow" is scheduled for release on Nov. 17 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. Watch the game's "Echo" trailer below:
