Nintendo Switch has captured the attention of both casual and hardcore gamers across the world and now a new leak may have hinted at its price when it launches in 2017.

The Nintendo Switch, formerly known with its codename the Nintendo NX, has recently been revealed by the Japanese video game company. However, only the appearance and some features have been shown with no more further details given.

Many fans are already excited at the prospect of the hybrid game console from Nintendo. The trailer showed that it could be played both at home and on the move through "switching" the controllers.

One GAME spokesperson told Express Online that the leak does not have any substantial evidence to support but they did not deny whether the leaked $330 Nintendo Switch price tag was true or fake. Canadian Toys R Us website was showing a price tag of the said console which quickly led to many believing the leak.

GAME said that they will only be giving a temporary price of £999.99 but emphasized that it is not the final and confirmed price. Instead, it will just be a placeholder for customers who want to pre-order the said hybrid gaming console from Nintendo.

Nintendo is set to reveal the exact Nintendo Switch release date during a company presentation on January 13 to be held in Tokyo in 2017, PC Advisor reported. The early release date expectations were set around March 2017 but an exact date was not confirmed by Nintendo.

Twitter user Laura Kate Dale (@LaurakBuzz) said that a source from Nintendo confirmed that the device will be launched on March 17. Unfortunately, there has been no evidence to support the statement so far.

Some people could just be riding the bandwagon and claiming prices plus release dates. Some could be close to the real thing but nothing has been confirmed yet by Nintendo themselves. The Nintendo Switch is set to take on the PlayStation Pro and the upcoming Xbox Scorpio from Microsoft.
