Hajime Isayama continues to drop bombs following the release of Shingeki no Kyojin Chapter 87. After revealing Grisha Yeager's grim back-story in chapter 86, Isayama once created quite a buzz after revealing the origin of these human-eating giants.
The Shingeki no Kyojin has been around for a good seven year. Having said of that, it's safe to say the end of this epic manga series is just around the corner. As a matter of fact, Isayama admitted that the series is now entering its final phase.
That alone would be enough reason to be really excited about next month's release. Chapter 88 is expected to be bigger and bolder than the previous chapters. That's for sure. That's why it's high time to speculate its contents and potential spoilers.
5 Biggest Potential Spoilers for Chapter 88:
-Krueger's identity. Everybody was shocked to learn the soldier met by Grisha 15 years ago turned out to be none other than the 'Owl' - the founder of the Eldian Revivalist.
However, the next issue of SNK could reveal more details about Krueger's identity and the motivation behind his goal of retrieving the progenitor titan's power for the Eldian people.
-Grisha's plan to regain the Coordinate. The Eldian Revivalist has been plotting for years to get the progenitor titan's power from the ruler within the wall for years.
With Grisha expected to get Krueger's titan power and finding his way into the walls, the next chapter will likely reveal Dr. Yeager's meticulous scheme to identity the true bearer of the coordinate and steal it from them.
-Who Eren really is? We all knew who is Eren right? He's the son of Dr. Yeager and the main protagonist of the series. However, the revelations in the past few chapter shrouded what we thought a bullet-proof notion that Eren is the biological son of Grisha and Carla Yeager.
Could it be that Eren is something else? An experiment maybe? Apparently, no one really knows but Isayama.
-The Reiss Puzzle. Chapter 86 revealed that Eldians could track their origin from the progenitor titan Ymir Fritz and the Fritz has been the ruler of their race for about 2000 years.
So how in the world did Reiss rise to power and become the bearer of the progenitor titan's power? It's still a mystery that needs more explanation up to now.
-Lastly, the Great East Sea Clan. Who are the Marley's enemy from the East. In chapter 87, A Marley soldier mentioned of an enemy in the East the Owl is planning to get support from. Could this be the race where the Orientals like Mikasa come from?
