DNCE has finally released their self-titled album last Nov. 18. The album contains 14 tracks including their hit single "Cake By The Ocean".

Entertainment Weekly has learned that most of the songs in DNCE's self-titled debut album are co-written by Joe Jonas and a "top-notch" team of Swedish songwriters.

According to the entertainment news website, it is best for you not to overthink about what the DNCE album has to offer.

"There are several 'Cake [By The Ocean]' clones, whose hand claps and pipe-cleaner bass lines can get repetitive. There are [also] jarring, ballad-y numbers that try to show off a new side of the band... The group ultimately finds its groove with retro, funk-heavy tracks like new single 'Body Moves' and 'Blown,' which is about exactly what you imagine it is," Entertainment Weekly said in its review of DNCE's newly released album.

According to Rolling Stone, the band's self-titled album is a follow up of their 2015 debut "EP SWAAY" which DNCE promoted by headlining a club tour and performing at the Jingle Ball last year. In addition, the group opened up for Selena Gomez on her "Revival" world tour.

Formed only last summer, the band is a solo project of Jonas after Jonas Brothers', which he was a part of together with his brothers Kevin and Nick, broke up in 2013.

DNCE is a four-man band composed of vocalist Jonas, bassist Cole Whittle of Semi-Precious Weapons, guitarist JinJoo who has toured with Demi Lovato and Charli XCX and drummer Jack Lawless who was previously a member of Jonas Brothers' touring band.

Prior to the release of their self-titled album, the band has met rapid success.

Billboard revealed that DNCE's first single "Cake By The Ocean" peaked at no. 9 in March in Billboard's Hot 100 hit list and winning MTV Video Music Award for best new artist among their many accomplishments.

However, given their achievements for the past year alone, DNCE decided to put out their album only now. The band's vocalist Jonas shared in an interview with Billboard that they wanted to take some time to avoid "ton of expectations".

"You'd think this would be our second album, in a way, because of the year we've had already. So it does feel a little bit unique that we haven't even released an album. But we wanted to take the time to really kind of evolve as a band and not rush this... we're not worried about Top 10/Top 20... We just want to get the music out there and that's what it's about for us - get it in people's hands." he said.
