The Galaxy S8 on release date promises to be the best and greatest that will come from Samsung, and this is further bolstered by the freshly-leaked specifications of the next-gen Snapdragon 835 SoC. Qualcomm has already confirmed that Samsung will mass produce the SD 835 and that the latter will get a first taste of the monster chip.

In a Weibo leak picked up by WCCFTech, Sammy fans got a glimpse of the incredible things to expect once the Galaxy S8 is unboxed. With SD 835 running the GS8 show, the power within is courtesy of a Kryo 200 processing chip in octa-core configuration. The specific clock top speed was left out for now but as noted by the same report, SD 835 will make use of the 10-nanometer FinFET process, which means "the next-gen Kryo processor will probably be running at a higher frequency thanks to the smaller node."

When working, the 8-core Kryo chip will fire up the four high-powered cores to get the main mobile computing tasks running mighty and smooth while the remaining low-powered cores will kick in for the less demand tasks such as taking charge of the background apps. This specific feature will ensure that the GS8 is a beast with longer-lasting battery power.

And will be an Adreno 540 GPU that will be responsible for breathing life into the rumored all-screen front panel of the Galaxy S8, allowing the device's curved Super AMOLED display to render gloriously in 2K or 4K resolution.

Also because of the on-board SD 835 SoC, the Galaxy S8 will fully support the UFS 2.1 standard, which for end-users will translate to superfast read and write speed that will come with the internal flash memory. That means data processing at breakneck speed for would-be GS8 users.

As Samsung and Qualcomm have both indicated, large-scale production of the Snapdragon 835 has already commenced and the cheap should be ready for its grand debut in the initial months of 2017. That's saying that the Galaxy S8 is ready for unpacking anytime between February and March next year with the intro happening via the Las Vegas 2017 CES.

On release date, Samsung is said to rollout out two flavors of the Galaxy S8 - a regular edition and a supersized model that will be called the Galaxy S8 Plus, tipped as possible successor to the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7.
