Cyber Monday has become more portentous each year in boosting fourth quarter figures as online sales topped $3 billion last year. Many shoppers now prefer the Internet bargains after Thanksgiving Day weekend over waiting in long lines on Black Friday. This year retail giants including Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, and Staples are offering many big deals on items like smartphones, computers, HD TVs, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and video games.
Smartphones
Best Buy is giving gift cards for Apple's iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge. The Samsung handsets get $450 gift cards, while the iPhone series receives $250 gift cards, and the iPhone SE gets a Best Buy gift card worth $160.
Samsung is also offering the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge with stocking stuffers. Early shoppers can choose a free Gear VR headset, $250 reward eCertificate, or $50 in Oculus store content.
Computers
Some Dell computers are getting price slashes. Dell Inspiron PCs have a $399 starting price at Microsoft retailers, and Walmart is selling the Dell Inspiron Gaming Edition Laptop at $1,000 (save $300).
The Microsoft Surface Book with Intel Core i5/256GB is now $1,500 ($400 off) at the online Microsoft Store.
Dell is reducing the Alienware Aurora desktop with Core i7/1TB drive to $1,200 ($400 discount). That is one-quarter off the regular price.
The HP Notebook 15 is getting a sale price of $299 ($300 off) at the Microsoft Store, according to Forbes. That is a 40-percent discount.
eBay has some big sales for Apple fans. They include the 13-inch MacBook Air for $787 (save $162) and 12.9-inch iPad Pro with 256GB of storage for $650 ($349 off).
TVs
Walmart has some super discounts on Samsung HDTVs. It is offering the Samsung 65-inch 4K Ultra HD TV for $998 (save $200). The Samsung 60-inch 1080-pixel HD Smart LED TV is also getting a lower price of $578 ($1,120 off) and an $80 Walmart Gift Card.
LG's 55-inch OLED55B6P Smart 4K TV is getting a $1,797 price tag ($2,203 off) at all online stores.
Gaming
Sony is discounting several PlayStation 4 Bundles to $247 including ones with "Uncharted 4," according to International Business Times. The Microsoft Store, meanwhile, is offering price cuts on consoles, games, controllers, and Xbox Live subscriptions.
IoT Devices
Staples is discounting Amazon smart speakers. The Echo is now $140 (save $40), the Tap costs $90 ($40 off), and the Echo Dot's price is now $40 ($10 discount).
Google Home costs just $99 ($30 off) at Walmart. The search giant's Wi-Fi-connected device will be discounted throughout Cyber Week.
