"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" followers are shipping Jared Harris to play as Albus Dumbledore in the film's sequel.  He is the son of the late Richard Harris, who played the role in the first two "Harry Potter."

Both Dumbledore and dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald will feature in the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" sequel and subsequent films. Johnny Depp will play as Grindelwald while the actor to play the younger Dumbledore is still to be announced.

Jared appeared in many films, such as "Mad Men," "Fringe," "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," "Certain Women" and the recent "Allied." He suggested  Warner Bros. is considering him for the role but fans should not lobby too hard. He had seen fan campaigns and knows that film bosses do not like to be forced.

"They're obviously thinking about it," Jared told Evening Standard. "I haven't heard anything and I don't expect to."

The sequel of the fantasy action film is set to start production in July 2017 and will be released in the second half of 2018. The J.K. Rowling prequel released on Nov. 18 stars Eddie Redmayne, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Carmen Ejogo, Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrell, Jon Voight, Gemma Chan, Jenn Murray, Ezra Miller and newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove.

In 2017, Jared will star in the series "The Terror." Among his co-stars are Ciaran Hinds, Edward Ashley, Mikey Collins, Kevin Guthrie and Caroline Boulton.

The newly-released fantasy action film is produced by David Heyman, Rowling, Lionel Wigram and Steve Kloves. Its plot is in 1926, when Newt Scamander arrived in New York after a global excursion searching a document and magical creatures. He encountered a No-Maj named Jacob, and had to deal with a misplaced magical case and the escape of some of his fantastic beasts that could threaten the worlds of No-Maj and wizards.

The Rowling book-based film has dropped 37 percent as of Nov. 26, Friday, with a fine $18.5 million, bringing its local cume to $129.68 million for eight days. It has crossed $200 million overseas, bringing its foreign cume to $227 million. The $180 million budget Warner Bros. release has already raked in a global income of $356.7 million, Forbes reported.
