BLACKPINK's Kim Jisoo is a hot topic online because of her past. Netizens claiming to be former classmates of the girl group member gushed over Jisoo's past.
While many idol members suffering from negative past stories in their childhood, testimonies on Jisoo's past emerged online making fans fell in love with the idol more.
All Kpop screenshot and translated some of the testimonies that read,
"I went to the same middle school as [Jisoo], and she was pretty but became even prettier. Her older sister also looks like Han Hyo Joo. [Jisoo] was really nice!! When kids like these become successful, it feels great."
"Jisoo was nice. We were in the same class. Not really close, but she was good-natured, nice, and pretty. She did fall asleep a lot in class though lol (I saw her drool often). She was kind and had good relationships with classmates. She had a wide spectrum of friends, everyone from ones who sits and reads books to kinda 'those' kids. [Jisoo] was bright and funny. Her image is girly, but she's actually like a puppy. She smiles like a puppy, too."
In the guesting of BLACKPINK at "Weekly Idol," it was revealed that Jisoo has a bright personality and get along with the members even though she is the oldest.
Meanwhile, her fellow BLACKPINK member Jennie Kim is one of the unfortunate idols that suffered backslash from netizens when a purported bullying story about her surfaced before her debut.
In 2012, YG Entertainment is hyping trainee Jennie Kim by making her appear in G-Dragon's music videos and featured in one of his songs. However, a story emerged claiming Jennie was a bully at school and has bad attitude.
It was later found out that the story was made up by an anti-fan of YG Entertainment, although some netizens think there is some truth in the said story.
