Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce seems to be reaching into a nasty level. He returned home early on Nov. 26, Saturday, after she reportedly agreed to let him give the kids a post-Thanksgiving celebration, but to his dismay it was called off.

The "Fight Club" actor spent a relaxed Thanksgiving day in a posh celebrity resort, the Amanyara Villas in Turks and Caicos with an old friend. Pitt and Jolie's six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, celebrated the holidays with the "Maleficient" star.

Pitt was reportedly assured by Jolie's team that he could see the kids to celebrate the important day. However, after coming home early from his short vacation, he found out that she cancelled the meeting the last minute.

When Pitt called that day to arrange how he would pick up the kids, he was reportedly informed that Jolie changed her mind. He was said to be very furious and upset because he wanted to invite the kids to his home on Thanksgiving weekends.

It was the first time that Pitt celebrated alone, away from his family on Thanksgiving day. In the past, it was a tradition both for Pitt and Jolie to spend the special day with the entire family, People reported.

Meanwhile, the report that Pitt and Jolie called for a two-day truce for the sake of the holidays was debunked by her camp. A source told Entertainment Online that she never invited Pitt to spend Thanksgiving day in the Los Angeles home.

It is not true that the children begged their parents to set aside their divorce and custody battle for the special day. There is also no basis regarding the rumors that Shiloh emailed her A-list parents, asking them to celebrate Thanksgiving day together.

The rumors came after Pitt was cleared of any charges that alleged him of child abuse concerning Maddox in a September incident. He was also out of any charges from the LA  Department of Children and Family Services.

Right after Pitt and Jolie's divorce announcement, he filed for a joint custody of the children. Until now, they are still working on their divorce terms and the custody of their six kids.
