Huawei has officially announced the list of smartphones that will be receiving Android 7.0 Nougat and EMUI 5.0 upgrade.
Huawei Mate Mate9, 9 Pro, Mate 9 Porsche Design Android 7.0 Nougat Update
The Huawei Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro and Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design were announced in November this year. Both the flagship smartphones come preinstalled with Android 7.0 Nougat OS along with the improved EMUI 5.0 custom software. However, it is only now that the company has confirmed Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade for other smartphones from the P9 family, Phone Arena reported.
Huawei P9 Plus, P9 Lite Android 7.0 Nougat
The Huawei P9 Plus and P9 Lite that were announced in April this year come preloaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and Emotion UI 4.1. Both the smartphones have been confirmed to receive Android 7.0 Nougat + EMUI 5.0 update.
Huawei Mate 8 Android 7.0 Nougat
The Huawei Mate 8, one of the most anticipated upper midrange smartphones of 2016 came with Marshmallow OS. In the previous month, the Nougat update was leaked on XDA Developers forum. The unofficial release of Nougat OS indicated that the official software upgrade would be around the corner, Android Authority reported.
Now, the Chinese manufacturer has also confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat and EMUI 5.0 update would be also released for Huawei Mate 8.
Huawei Nova, Nova Plus Android 7.0 Nougat
Both the budget smartphones running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS were launched in September this year. These smartphones will be also upgraded to Android N and latest Emotion UI version.
Huawei Android 7.0 Nougat Release Date
The Huawei P9 and Huawei Mate 8 smartphone users would be receiving the upcoming software upgrade within the first quarter of 2017. The other smartphones will be Nougat update in the following weeks.
Huawei is exclusively providing Nougat beta to the users of Mate 8 and P9. Hence, users who wish to taste the Nougat OS before its stable version is released officially can download and install beta build of Nougat OS.
Huawei Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update
Android 7.1.1 Nougat is expected to be officially available for Nexus devices by the end of this week. The Nexus 6P, a Huawei manufactured device will be receiving Dec. 5.
