Bandai Namco is still quiet about the exact "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" PC and console release dates even after it has been more than a year after the arcade version was launched. An early 2017 release date was teased but no further details were given.

"Tekken 7" was released in arcades in 2015 and fans already expected a console and PC launch but they were left disappointed up until now. The franchise is one of the most iconic and beloved in the fighting game genre but most people would just like to play it at home.

The trailer for the "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" was just recently released and Akuma could be playing a larger role than just a guest character, Techvicity reported. Other details are still vague but Akuma will reportedly have his own backstory in the expansion, which is also expected to be the version for PC and the consoles.

Bandai Namco will be releasing "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 but only a vague early 2017 release date was given. "Tekken 6" also took almost two years before it was finally ported to PCs and consoles.

Fans are particularly disappointed with the current game as Bandai Namco used Unreal Engine 4 which is a multi-platform game engine. It means that the developers should have little to no trouble porting the game since they would not have to code as much compared to their previously used engines.

"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" could signal the start of another eSports era for the franchise especially after it launches on the different platforms along with the King of the Iron Fist Tournament series, Two Left Sticks reported.

Fans are still waiting for the home version of "Tekken 7" which is expected to be sometime in 2017. When it is released, it could help push the fighting game to compete in the eSports arena alongside "Street Fighter 5."
