Besides “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki, his “bromance” partner in a recent Domino’s Pizza commercial, Park Bo Gum, is one of the busiest actors in South Korea.

After the recent success of “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” TV series where he starred, Park Bo Gum’s schedule remains busy for the last month of 2016. According to Inquisitr, Park Bo Gum would hold a fan meet in Malaysia on Dec. 10. It is his first time to visit Malaysia.

The recent China ban on Hallyu is a blessing in disguise for fans of South Korean actors in other Asian countries who have been clamoring them to also hold fan meets. Until the THAAD controversy, because of the large number of fans of Korean actors from China, the Asian giant was the top destination for fan meets. Song Joong-ki held several in China with the venues bursting with fans.

Malaysia is the first stop of Park Bo Gum’s 10-country fan meet, according to Blossom Entertainment. The fan meet would be held at the KLCC Plenary Hall at 7:30 p.m. After Malaysia, the star of “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” would hold fan meets in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Singapore and China. Hopefully, by the end of his 10-country tour, South Korea would have a new president more acceptable to China which could result in the Hallyu ban being lifted.

Besides his fan meets, Park Bo Gum would also host the KBS Drama Awards 2016 on Dec. 31, iTech reported. Although KBS has not yet released the list of nominees, “Descendants of the Sun” as well as its actors are expected to be nominated in various categories.

It would be a good ending for “Descendants of the Sun” and its leading actors, Soong Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo, whose popularity soared in 2016 after the military-medical drama was aired over KBS 2TV in South Korea and iQiyi in China. After the 16-episode blockbuster ended in mid-April, the show and its stars collected a lot of awards. The latest was the Best Drama Award from the Asian Television Award given to “Descendants of the Sun” on Saturday in Singapore.
