Burnley, who finished last season as champions of the Football League Championship, continues to have a hard time competing in the English top flight this term. They are currently on a three-game losing streak which has dropped them to the 15th spot of the league table, only three points above the bottom three relegation zone.

The Clarets are coming off a 0-2 beating in the hands of Stoke City last Saturday on the road at the Bet365 Stadium, as per the Mirror.

Irishman Jonathan Walters opened the game's scoring in the 20th minute while teammate Marc Muniesa doubled the lead 15 minutes later to give the hosts an early 2-0 lead.

It proved to be the final score of the match as head coach Sean Dyche's squad was not able to score a single throughout the contest.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth pulled off a stunning 4-3 victory over erstwhile league leaders Liverpool at their home ground of Vitality Stadium last Sunday, the Independent reported.

Liverpool started strongly, scoring the first two goals of the game in the 20th and 22nd minutes courtesy of Sadio Mane and Divock Origi. The two-point lead held until the halftime break.

Bournemouth fought back in the second half, opening the scoring in the 56th with a penalty kick by Callum Wilson. Emre Can then made it a 3-1 count in the 64th as the Reds looked headed to their second straight win.

However, the Cherries scored the three goals of the seven-goal thriller, with Ryan Fraser, Steve Cook, and Nathan Ake netting one goal apiece in the 76th, 78th, and 90th+3 minutes respectively to complete the surprising comeback.
