This is probably one of as few cases where releasing these characters as DLC make likely make sense, as Capcom probably signed a separate deal for them. While the validity of the post is still in question, it is a known fact that X-Men characters such as Wolverine, Storm and Magneto have appeared in several crossover games from "X-Men vs. Street Fighter" to "Marvel vs. Capcom 3", while Doctor Doom, Super Skrull and Galactus are the only Fantastic Four characters to have ever been featured in the sequel, WCCFTech reported.

Capcom first debut "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" during the PlayStation Experience event last weekend as the cinematic trailer featured Ryu and Mega Man X representing Capcom fighting against Marvel's own Tony Stark/Iron Man and Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. In addition, Capcom revealed the sequel's first gameplat during the Capcom Cup which also feature Steve Rogers/Captain America and Morrigan from the "Darkstalkers" series.

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" adds the use of the Infinity Stones in its gameplay as layers will be able to equip different Infinity Stones before a match, granting themselves different abilities and effects. Unfortunately, Capcom has yet to explain all of the differences between these powers and what the benefits and drawbacks.

There is also a single-player Arcade, Training, and Mission mode, as well as a cinematic Story Mode that puts players in between both universes as they fight to the top to take on the game’s new villain who is revealed to be at the end of the cinematic trailer.

Meanwhile, it seems that a physical copy of "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" was spotted in GameStop for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms and will be released sometime in 2017, Niche Gamer reported.

Capcom previously announced that "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" will be available as a digital release only game for PS4 via PSN last Saturday. Not to mention that digital versions of Xbox One and PC will launch on March 2017.

"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
