The Apple Jailbreaking Community is keeping a close eye on Pangu, with Apple expected to release iOS 10.2 soon. The word out is that the Chinese hacking group will roll out an iOS 10 jailbreak once the latest iOS from the Cupertino company is finalized.

There is no actual date set on when Apple will release iOS 10.2 as of this writing. As mentioned in a previous post, the iOS 10 jailbreak from Pangu will reportedly filled with new features and functionalities. It also carries a bit of a twist withthe said crack believed to be open source.

Hence, it has now become a chess match between Apple and Pangu. iOS 10.2 already in the seventh beta which makes it all the more plausible to see the release of the mobile operating system, 9 to 5 Mac reported. Among the features of iOS 10.2 include new 9.0 Emojis, new wallpapers or the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, a TV app plus camera features and message screen effects.

Security fixes were not mentioned but are expected for iOS 10.2. As most have probably heard, iOS 10 has been plagued with compatibility and security issues, most of which are expected to be patched once the final version is released. Could this pose a problem for Pangu or other hackers?

Such is possible considering some fixes may have not been considered by Pangu for the alleged iOS 10 jailbreak. There is no word on which iOS 10 beta version was used by Pangu, though it may very well be among the early released from the Cupertino company.

There is also the possibility of not seeing an actual iOS 10 jailbreak come out. This has happened before such as the official rollout of iOS 10. No jailbreak followed at the time so that could possilby happen again.

Pangu presented three iOS jailbreaks at that time at MOSET 2016. The only working crack that came out was iOS 9.3.4 with the alleged iOS 10 jailbreak never seeing the light of day, Forbes reported.Indiividual hackers showed off their iOS 10 jailbreaks but none were shared to the public.

Instead, there are some who have opted for alternatives in the absence of a working iOS 10 jailbreak. That includes apps like TweakBox and Mojo which allowed Apple owners to get paid apps for free. However, there are still some who prefer an actual iOS 10 jailbreak,  seeing it may be the only one credible to use.

As most wait on whether an iOS 10 jailbreak will come out or not, check out the latest features of iOS 10.2 via the video below.
