Fans are now looking forward to seeing Samsung Galaxy S8. Marketed as Samsung's device with an "all-display" look, Samsung's next-generation flagship device is grabbing the headlines as it boasts features that are reportedly present in the upcoming model of iPhone.

Samsung Galaxy S8 may feature a new voice assistant Viv after the South Korean company acquired the Viv Labs that created the popular Apple voice assistant Siri in October. The Al-enabled feature has never been seen in the market. It can use voice commands to make phone calls, send text messages and schedule appointments.

It is said that Apple is preparing for its big 10th year anniversary in 2017. For this reason, it is planning to come up with revolutionizing designs of iPhones in 2017.  It is reportedly the reason why Samsung is gearing towards launching its next-generation flagship phone with an "all-display" look.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 may ditch its 3.5mm headphone jack and home button, which are rumored to be the same designs of future iPhones. It is rumored that Galaxy S8 may get rid of its headphone jack and develop its own port since there are already a lot of devices that support a USB Type-C port, according to Express.

The new Galaxy 8 may also remove its home button and will be replaced by a virtual one that would be hidden in the lower glass part of the smartphone.  Sources say that eliminating the home button may be a move to free up some space on the device. A fingerprint sensor may also be in place which is located under the glass panel.

In terms of display, Samsung Galaxy S8 may leave its bezel on the display.  There are rumors that Samsung may may decrease the front panel of the device, making the 90 percent of the front panel an active display space.

Although Samsung is targeting a March release date of Galaxy S8, there are speculations that it may take a slight delay and may push through in April.  Insiders revealed that the company is undergoing several stringent tests to make sure that its next flagship device would not repeat the same debacle that Note7 encountered.

"Since the phones have a record of burning up, it needs time for these phones to be verified as safe,"  HMC Investment Securities Co. analyst Greg Roh told Bloomberg. "How safe the phones turn out to be is more important than any hardware innovation. It will take about a month or two for people to actually start opening their pockets."
