Fans were glad to see the Nintendo Switch in action during the "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon." It was the first time that it was demonstrated live.

Nintendo teased the public with a trailer of the Switch and it only provided more questions than answers. The recent demonstration on Fallon's show does give the people some idea on how it will really work when it launches in 2017.

Reggie Fils-Aime, the Nintendo of America president, led the demonstration which obviously wowed Fallon and the audience. They played "The Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild" as they demonstrated how easy it was to switch between playing modes with the hybrid game console.

Fils-Aime showed the almost seamless transition of the Nintendo Switch when he removed the console from the base, Polygon reported. There was no need to push any buttons on the Switch or any insertion of any disk.

When Nintendo released the trailer for the console, people were quick to be skeptical of its actual capability to switch between modes. Now that Nintendo demonstrated how fast it was, fans now believe that the Japanese game company has something strong in their hands.

Another thing that the demonstration proved is that the Nintendo Switch is more powerful than the Wii U. It should not be surprising considering that it will be a new console despite Nintendo's claim that it will not be a next-gen product.

Unfortunately, it also confirms that there is no huge leap in the graphics department. The Nintendo Switch does not have next-gen graphics based on the Fallon demonstration, NME reported.

Despite its lack in graphics prowess, the Nintendo Switch does make large strides with its features. People will be able to enjoy a home and a mobile console in just one purchase.
