"The Flash" Season 3 episode 9 gave viewers a peek at Barry's future that coincides with one of Savitar's prophecies. The Speed Force villain gave Barry a warning that one of his friends will die, another will betray him while a third friend will face a fate that is "worse than death."

Aired on Dec. 6, Tuesday, and served as the midseason finale for "The Flash" Season 3, the said episode featured a scene where Barry accidentally traveled several months into the future and witnessed Iris' (Candice Patton) death. With Savitar set to stab Iris in the back, Barry's future self would try to stop the villain's attack but it will be too late.

Iris' death will mark the completion of one of Savitar's prophecies. Story speculations posted at Comic Book teased that the villain's two other predictions will also involve members of Iris' family with Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) set to betray Barry and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) speculated to live a broken life after his daughter's death, as well as trying to deal with the aftermath of Wally's actions.

Meanwhile, the teaser clip for the upcoming "The Flash" Season 3 episode 10 hinted of the growing tension between Barry and Wally, also known as the Kid Flash. Posted on Spoiler TV, the said video featured Barry's anger towards Wally for breaking a training agreement.

With the Kid Flash shadowing the Flash during a mission to apprehend a criminal, Wally defied Barry's orders and acted out on his own. Despite the fact that the Kid Flash's actions saved the speedster hero, Barry is furious that Wally failed to comply with their agreement to simply observe the situation.

Barry's reaction will confuse Wally and other members of the Flash's team. It appears that the situation will mark the start of a potential rift between the two superheroes.

"The Flash" Season 3 will return to the small screens on Jan. 24, 2017 on the CW. Watch the preview for the upcoming midseason premiere below:
