Apple has released the final version of iOS 10.2 to all supported devices. The latest update brings in new emoji, new wallpapers and iMessage screen effects. A new app for Apple TV plus other features are also included for Apple device owners residing in the United States.

The Cupertino-based tech giant announced the arrival of its latest mobile operating system and said that users will now have access to more than 100 new emoji that include faces, food, animals, sports and professions. There are also three new wallpapers for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus owners, as well as the Love and the Celebration screen effect for iMessage. A new TV app, which allows Apple TV owners to quickly view available shows to watch and their purchased movies on their iPhones and iPads, is also added, 9To5Mac reported.

The latest update also includes: a Preserve Camera Setting feature that retains the user's last camera settings before shifting to another app; additional Video app widgets; Show Star Ratings in the Music app; and a new headphone icon that appears on the status bar if a Bluetooth audio device is paired. The latter was previously available for the Beats Solo3 only. Furthermore, a Press and Hold to Speak function was also added under the Home Button Accessiblity settings. Clicking the power button five times will now activate the SOS feature, and a redesigned Music app is also included.

Moreover, iOS 10.2 brings in minor bug fixes for performance and connectivity issues for third-party Bluetooth accessories, FaceTime and Mail issues. Raw image support in the Photos app was also improved.

Users of the following iOS devices can benefit from the new and improved features of the latest patch: iPhone 5 and newer models; fourth generation iPad and newer devices; iPad Mini 2 and newer models; sixth generation iPods; and the two iPad Pro tablets. The Apple Watch and the fourth generation Apple TV also received their corresponding updates related to the latest patch, according to Arstechnica.

Users of the above-mentioned models can expect a notification soon, but they can also download the latest release manually via iTunes.
