"An Inconvenient Truth" documentary film is set for a sequel release in 2017 at the Sundance Film Festival. This sequel comes after the 10th year anniversary of the documentation of Al Gore's campaign to educate humanity about global warming.

It cannot be denied that the documentary film released in 2006 regarding the environment and climate change stirred the world for a so-called environmental care. The effort of the former United States president, Albert Arnold "Al" Gore, Jr. was well showcased in the 2006 documentary film, "An Inconvenient Truth." More than ten years after its release, a sequel is set for release on January 29, 2017 to remind global communities to rededicate themselves to solving pervading climate issues.

"Now more than ever we must rededicate ourselves to solving the climate crisis. But we have reason to be hopeful; the solutions to the crisis are at hand. I'm deeply honored and grateful that Paramount Pictures and Participant Media have once again taken on the task of bringing the critical story of the climate crisis to the world," Variety quoted Al Gore as saying.

"An Inconvenient Truth" sequel hopes to realign and reaffirm what its prequel has started. With the participation again of industry giant, Paramount Pictures, it is expected that another critically acclaimed documentary film will be witnessed by humanity. However, beyond aesthetic beauty and visual enticement, environmentalists are hoping that the message of the documentary sequel will reach millions of audiences, forcing them to take further actions for environmental care.

It can be remembered that with the release of "An Inconvenient Truth," humanity was awaken and led to realize that every action they take against the environment possess repercussions. Apart from that, Climate Reality Project Organization also mentioned that the film became a turning point in the lives of most people on earth. Earth dwellers were led to start significant changes, including sustainable energy businesses, while other devoted themselves to nonprofits and similar organizations to help counter the effects of climate change.
